Chloe / Madelaine
cats
They are shelter cats that printmaker gatoku lives with. Chloe and her younger sister Madelaine appear as a motif in many of his works.
版画家・雅徳と一緒に住む保護ねこの姉クロエと妹マドレーヌ。雅徳の版画のモデルとして作品モチーフによく使われる。
Gatoku
Produces original prints, mainly woodblock and lino prints. Gatoku likes the expressions and gestures of his main exclusive super cat models, Chloe and Madelaine and their friends.
ねこを専門に白黒版画を制作する版画家であり、飼い猫であるクロエとマドレーヌ、そして多くのお友達であるねこの版画を制作しています。
moto
Her main works are copperplate print and pen drawing. She has been drawing living things since she was a child, but after meeting a calico cat, cats became the main subject of her works.
In copperplate etching and aquatint, she uses western printing techniques as well as traditional Japanese Gampi and washi paper to create original works.
This drawing of Chloe is work in progress.
Motoの主な技法は銅版画とペン画。子供の頃から動物を主に作品製作をするが、ある三毛猫と出会った切っ掛けで猫を専門に作品制作を始める。西洋の銅版画の技法と日本の伝統和紙とを組み合わせたオリジナルの作品を製作する。

2969 cat event
2969 has a permanent exhibition of our art work and a shop in Nara where you can buy our products. 2969will travel around Japan from now on to participate in cat events in various places. We hope to meet you someday somewhere.
２９６９では奈良のギャラリー工房にて作品の展示や販売を行っています。また日本各地で開催されている猫博、マルシェ、マーケットにも定期的に参加させて頂いております。各イベントにて皆様にお会い出来る事を心より楽しみにさせて頂いております。お見かけの際には是非お声をかけて頂けると嬉しく思います。

Cat prints are printed directly on leather mobile phone cases produced in Tochigi Prefecture. There is also plastic hard case to go with it. Please check your phone model and check our stock of materials by email before you place an order with us.

紙ではない版画作品を部屋に飾りたいというご要望からできた作品です。短物（約７０cm）と長物（約１４０cm）の２種類の布に武将猫の作品を刷り、ご自宅の壁に掛けて飾って頂けるようにした壁掛けです。ご希望のサイズなどがある場合にはご相談ください。

These scarves are dyed with Japanese indigo. The materials, we use silk, linen, cotton are changed according to the season. Patterns are also changed according to the season and our customer requests.
シルク、綿、麻など様々な素材を藍染で染めて作品に仕上げた２９６９オリジナルショールです。その藍染めのショールに１つ１つ手仕事で柄を施しました。寒い時期だけでなく、薄く風通しの良い素材を涼しげに楽しんで頂く事も出来る藍染のショールです。
Marche bag
This is our market bag made of hemp. The bag is light and thin but tough, and dekopon orange cat pattern designed in the centre of this bag. The family crest of our workshop 2969 is printed on the opposite side of this bag.
麻で作られたショッピング用のマルシェバッグです。非常に大きく柔らかく、収納力に優れ肩から掛けて使って頂けます。また小さく折りたたんでカバンに入れて持ち運んでいただける優れものです。正面にはデコポンや蜜柑を被った猫が可愛くデザインされています。
denim shoulder bag
This shoulder bag has a slightly unique shape. We make our own paper patterns, print on fabric and sew. The bags are very comfortable to use and enjoy good reputation among our important customers.
使いやすさを考えてデザインを起こし岡山デニムを使って縫製を致しました。裏面には大きなポケットも取り付けられています。正面には兜をかぶっていない猫の版画がデザインされています。日用使いに優れ非常に丈夫です。

These hand towels are made only on the day of the big day of good luck. Material of these hand towels are unbleached and do not contain bleach or fluorescent dyes. Once you use it, you will understand how good it is.

ceramic cat face broach / pendant
We have variety of cat face broach and pendants. Each of their face is different and very cute. All of them are handmade by printmaker gatoku. The cat's face is formed in clay imported from Shigaraki, and later dried and glazed one by one carefully before being fired in our kiln at 1300 degrees celsius. Each size is about 3 centimeters.
信楽の土を使い、１つ１つを丁寧に猫の顔に成形し1300度の窯で焼き締めました。手作業で製作するため同じ顔、同じ柄はありません。約２×３センチの小さく可愛いペンダント・ブローチです。帯留め等にも加工は可能です。
Indigo dyed Tenugui towel
We have variety of designs on Tenugui towel we create. They are very unique and some people use them as tapestry on their wall. All Tenugui towel are indigo dyed and include a cat design with seasonal flowers. They are also very cute designs and it is a little hard to choose a favorite.
四国で製造された日本晒を藍染で一度藍色にし、そこから藍を抜き版画の柄を表現した手拭です。藍に細かな白い柄が映えます。

There are a lot of prints gatoku creates. Many of gatoku works can be seen at gatoku's solo exhibition and on instagram, and of course they are also available for purchase. Japanese Furoshiki wrapping cloth
This is Japanese Furoshiki wrapping cloth. This is one of our popular product and is also hand dyed and printed on Furoshiki cloth. Some people use it as a traditional wrapping cloth and others use it as a tapestry on the wall. This is a beautiful Furoshiki that looks also wonderful when decorated. 晒布を藍染で染め、ねこの柄を1つずつ抜いたマスクです。マスクは1つずつ丁寧に縫製されており、不織布とは違った爽快感があります。何度も繰り返し洗って使用していただける商品です。
